FAQ

Which character categories should I read on a new character?
Read Race, Social Class, and Trait separately. Each describes a different part of your setup.
What is M1 in a combat guide?
M1 refers to the basic attack used when practising a weapon and learning enemy attack range.
Which tool is associated with crop activities?
The Rake is used for crop activities; the Axe is used for chopping trees.
What compass marker points toward Grimoire rolls?
Follow the tower icon to the Grimoire Tower.
Which quest introduces broom balance training?
Master Elsie provides Learning to Fly, which introduces the broom balance activity.

How should a beginner start Clover Time?

Begin by reading your character options, checking the inventory and quest prompts, and practising M1 basic attacks. Learn what Race, Social Class, and Trait each represent before spending resources. Then use the compass to identify destinations and explore the tool, Grimoire, and broom systems as their interactions become available.

Opening priority Useful action What you learn
Character menus Read all three selected categories Which choices describe your character
Inventory and UI Locate equipment, tools, filters, and settings Where to inspect items and options
Basic combat Practise M1 and movement Weapon reach and enemy attack rhythm
Village tasks Read the current objective Which activity the quest requests
Map exploration Follow destination icons How to orient yourself in the world

The character-roll guide explains the configuration menu without mixing character Spins with magic resources.

What should you look for in early gathering tasks?

Read village quest objectives alongside the tools in your inventory: an Axe chops trees, while a Rake is used for crop activities. Lily’s potato task introduces crop gathering, and village wood tasks introduce collecting wood. Follow the requested activity and inspect the task before handing over the items you gather.

  • Match the tool to the activity rather than treating all tools as weapons.
  • Keep the objective visible while gathering.
  • Check gathered items in the inventory before returning to the quest giver.

Fishing adds another equipment-based activity later in your exploration; the fishing guide covers rods, bait, and the PC interaction.

How can you learn combat before combining spells?

Practise M1 attacks with the weapon you have, observe the enemy’s reach, and move out of its next attack before committing again. Compare swords, daggers, or scythes through their reach and attack rhythm. Once you have magic, learn individual moves before trying to combine several attacks into one sequence.

  1. Approach a readable PvE target.
  2. Observe how close it must be to threaten you.
  3. Use basic attacks and reposition between exchanges.
  4. Add one spell at a time so its role stays clear.

This is a practice order, rather than a claim that every weapon shares the same timing or range.

How do you locate the Grimoire Tower and its roll point?

Follow the tower icon on the compass to the Grimoire Tower and look for the Grimoire Roll interaction. The PC prompt includes E — Read and a crystal icon. Read the displayed requirement before selecting the interaction, keeping Mana Crystals separate from the Spins shown in your character configuration menu.

The Grimoire tier list compares books by PvE role and rarity. Decide which kind of kit you want to learn before spending resources on another roll.

How does broom travel expand your exploration?

Magic Brooms provide flying movement, and Master Elsie’s Learning to Fly quest introduces broom balance training. The PC interface uses H — Spawn Broom for broom access. As you progress through the broom system, practise travel between destinations separately from combat so that you can follow markers and recognise landing locations.

Magic Squads provide a way to team up for boss fights. The Beta feature overview explains how flight, squads, magic progression, and AFK World fit into the wider game.
