FAQ

How many races are included in this comparison?
Five: Human, Dwarf, Human-Dwarf, Elf, and Devil.
What is the main reason to compare Elf?
Elf emphasises mana capacity and recovery, alongside regeneration and EXP benefits.
What separates Human-Dwarf from Dwarf in this table?
Human-Dwarf includes a mixed sustain and EXP package; Dwarf is compared for sustain and resource attributes.
Is Sovereign an additional race?
No. Sovereign is a Social Class, displayed separately from Race.
Does S-tier measure levelling speed?
The tier compares passive packages. It is not a timed levelling result or a numerical damage score.

Which race should you compare first in Clover Time?

Compare Devil first for its broad passive package and Elf for mana-focused play. Human-Dwarf combines sustain and progression attributes, Dwarf emphasises sustain and resource capacity, and Human provides baseline regeneration and EXP benefits. This PvE ordering prioritises passive roles; your Grimoire and the abilities you use remain part of the choice.

Passive priority Race Why it belongs here
S Devil Broad health, regeneration, mana, and EXP package
A Elf Mana capacity and recovery alongside regeneration and EXP
A Human-Dwarf Mixed regeneration, resource, and EXP benefits
B Dwarf Sustain and resource attributes
C Human Baseline regeneration and EXP package

The ordering compares passive packages, rather than a timed levelling trial or a damage leaderboard. It is useful for deciding what to inspect in the character panel.

Which attributes distinguish the five race packages?

Look at the kinds of attributes each race supports: health, stamina, mana, regeneration, and EXP. Elf concentrates the comparison on mana capacity and recovery; Devil spans a broader package. Human-Dwarf and Dwarf offer sustain-oriented alternatives, while Human gives a starting point for comparing regeneration and progression benefits across the other choices.

Race package Attribute areas Question for your build
Human Health, stamina, and mana regeneration; EXP Which baseline benefit helps your current activity?
Dwarf Regeneration, stamina, and mana Do you want sustain and resource capacity?
Human-Dwarf Regeneration, stamina, mana, and EXP Do you want a mixture of sustain and progression?
Elf Mana capacity, mana recovery, regeneration, and EXP Is magic resource management your priority?
Devil Health, regeneration, mana, and EXP Does a broad passive package fit your character?

Compare those roles with the Grimoire tier list. The book determines your magic tools, while race passives support the character using them.

Why are Sovereign and Chosen One outside the race table?

Sovereign belongs to Social Class, and Chosen One belongs to Trait. They appear beside Race in the character configuration menu rather than inside the five-race list. A setup can combine entries from all three categories, so read each column independently when comparing a build or deciding which category you want to change.

The reroll menu guide shows the distinction between Race, Social Class, and Trait. Mana Sensitive is also a Trait, rather than a sixth race.

How can you apply the ranking before choosing another roll?

Read your current race and its displayed attributes, identify the benefit your play style needs, and compare that benefit with the table. Then check your Social Class and Trait alongside it. This makes the decision specific to your character rather than treating the highest tier as a reason to spend every available Spin.

For sword-oriented play, consider the Anti Magic kit. Spell-oriented play has different positioning tools, as the Poison guide shows. Learn those tools before judging how much a different passive package would help.
